Jody Mitic and Alannah Gilmore
Wounded by an improvised explosive device while in Afghanistan, Master Corporal Jody Mitic was able to recover with the help of Sergeant Alannah Gilmore. Together, they overcame tremendous physical and psychological trauma, and proceeded to dedicate their lives to help other wounded veterans.
In honour of their contributions, Valour Canada has awarded the husband and wife the 2015 General Sir Arthur Currie Award.
