General Sir Arthur Currie Award

General Sir Arthur Currie Award

The General Sir Arthur Currie Award is presented annually to Canadians who have made a significant contribution to Canada’s military history and heritage.

We are proud to announce the Royal Canadian Legion as 2017's recipient! The 2017 Gala's featured speaker will be Rex Murphy, who is known throughout Canada for his work with the CBC and National Post. The Gala will take place at Calgary's BMO Centre on May 13, 2017. For more information and to RSVP, please contact us at (403) 685-2660, email us at contact@valourcanada.ca, or click here for the EventBrite RSVP page.

The award gala is an evening of military pageantry, music, entertainment and tribute to the brave men and women of the Canadians Forces and, in 2015, was highlighted by the presentation of the General Sir Arthur Currie Award to Jody Mitic and Alannah Gilmore by retired Major General Lewis W. MacKenzie.

Thank you to BMO Financial, this year's General/Flag Officer Sponsor.
