Juno Beach (Virtual Tour)
On June 6, 1944, thousands of Allied soldiers raced across the English Channel in open-topped landing craft towards the five Normandy beaches, each heavily defended by elements of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall. 14,000 Canadians of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division and the 2nd Armoured Brigade stormed onto Juno Beach over the course of that day.
