AI EnhancedThank you for Supporting Batoche Tour 2024!
Valour Canada’s inaugural 1885 NW Rebellion/Resistance Tour 2024 (Batoche Tour) concluded successfully, providing participants with a deep and enriching experience of Métis and Canadian military history.
Highlights of the tour included a guided exploration of the Wanuskewin Heritage Park, a visit to the Battle of Tourond’s Coulee / Fish Creek National Historic Site and Batoche National Historic Site, and informative talks from our guest speakers and volunteer guides.
We wish to thank all of our friends and supporters for their assistance in making this tour a big success.
- A special thank you to Vicki Sotvedt (Board Director), Bonnie Marwood, Malcolm Young, Albert Boucher, and Robert Brown for contributing their time, knowledge and insights – having them on the tour as guest speakers and guides greatly enhanced the overall learning experience for everyone.
- We also extend our appreciation to Brad Pierce (Board Director) and Patricia Newson (President’s Circle member) for their support throughout the preparation and during the tour itself. Their participation added a personal touch to our journey, and their dedication helped ensure the tour’s success.
- During the tour, we also received great support from the wonderful staff teams of University of Saskatchewan, Wanuskewin Heritage Park, and Parks Canada.
- Lastly, a big thank you to all our tour participants for their enthusiasm and engagement throughout the tour. It was a pleasure to share this experience with such a great group.
