From November 1 to 14, 2026, Valour Canada invites you to walk in the footsteps of Canadians who served in Italy during the Second World War. Together, we will honour their sacrifice, deepen our understanding of history, and ensure that remembrance continues for future generations.
While the tour is organized and led by Valour Canada, the travel logistics and bookings are managed by our external tour partner, Explorica by WorldStrides. Explorica is responsible for handling registrations, payments, and on-the-ground travel arrangements.

1. Is this tour a fundraiser in support of Valour Canada’s charitable mission?
This tour is more than a historical experience — it is an act of legacy. As part of participating in the Italian Battlefield Remembrance Tour, each traveller makes a Mission Support Contribution (eligible for tax receipts) to Valour Canada.
2. Can I opt out of the tour’s insurance if I already have coverage through my credit card??
Yes. While we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance, you may opt out if you already have comparable coverage—such as through your credit card—that includes trip cancellation insurance. Please review the details in the Registration Instructions. If you selected it by mistake, please call Explorica’s customer service at 1-888-378-8845 to have it removed within 24 hours of enrolling.
3. Is there a land-only price option available?
Yes. In addition to the price listed on the landing page, alternative pricing options—including land-only—may be available. You will be able to view the applicable pricing in real time when making adjustments during the enrollment process.
4. I’m travelling with a friend, partner, or spouse. Do we each need to register separately, and how do we ensure we are assigned to the same hotel room?
Yes, each traveller must complete their own registration. While this may not be explicitly stated on the website, please rest assured that you and your travelling partner will be accommodated together. To confirm your rooming preference and ensure you are assigned to the same hotel room, please contact Customer Service at 1-888-378-8845 prior to departure.
5. I’m travelling alone and prefer not to share a hotel room. Can I request a private room or upgrade my accommodation?
Yes. If you prefer a private room and would like to upgrade to a single occupancy option from the standard twin occupancy, you can do so online upon enrollment or after enrollment you can contact Customer Service at 1-888-378-8845 to change your rooming preferences. They can also assist you with payment options related to a room upgrade after your initial enrollment.
