Private Thomas Riley from Calgary, Alberta, was a Lewis gunner at the Battle of Passchendaele. Killed in action, what happened to his remains continues to be a mystery and caused many years of consternation and grief for his kin.
Private Riley is the first of four stories covered in our Forgotten Fallen video tribute to Canadians who died in the First World War fallen with no known graves. (4m:50)
