Maj. Talbot Papineau

March 25, 1883 - October 30, 1917

Major Talbot Mercer Papineau from Montebello, Quebec, was a lawyer who joined the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI). Distinguishing himself in battle numerous times, he was known as an excellent leader. Despite his upper class origins, he served and paid the ultimate sacrifice just as so many fellow Canadians.

Major Papineau is the second of four stories covered in our Forgotten Fallen video tribute to Canadians who died in the First World War fallen with no known graves.
