Valour Canada has embarked on a project to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Canada’s involvement in D-Day and the subsequent Battle of Normandy.
For those unable to visit Juno Beach (or Dieppe), we bring the landing location to them with the help of new 360⁰, virtual reality technologies.
Once you don the required goggles (or navigate via phone or laptop), you will be immersed in the surroundings of Juno: it is possible for you to move between key locations, compare modern with historical images, listen to first-hand accounts of that day, and watch linked videos, all while turning your head (or your mouse) to observe the entire scene.

- If using a laptop/tablet, once inside the virtual reality environment, slowly
drag your mouse/finger to move the image, then tap on an icon to see media -
THEY SHALL GROW NOT OLD AS WE THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD:
AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM, NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN.
AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
